About
Hi! I’m Ann. Nice to meet you.
About Me:
I'm an Upstate New York native living in New York City (having made a few great city stops in between: Philadelphia, Boston, and San Francisco).
Professionally, I have spent the past 15+ years of my career in the tech space on both the technical and operations sides of the house (Analytics/BI, Product, Growth, and Operations).
I have experience building teams, as well as managing larger teams (~80) and sizable P&L ($XXM). I have also had wonderful opportunities working in big tech, startups, as well as consulting for venture studios.
After a 5-year journey as an early member of the Lyft team, I founded Patch Ventures, a private partnership to invest in, advise on, and incubate growth, operations, and marketplace technology products. Patch Ventures is primarily focused on efforts that provide economic opportunity and/or reduce information asymmetries.
During my time at Lyft, I was the Director of Growth for the East Coast, as well as the General Manager of the New York Area (New York and New Jersey). Prior to that I was on the tech side of the house as a Growth Product Mgr (building Lyft’s experimentation platform with a team of senior engineers), as well as Head of Business Intelligence and Marketing Analytics.
Prior to Lyft, I worked in the data/product spaces supporting subscription monetization and fraud analytics areas at LinkedIn and Google, respectively. I have enjoyed everything I've learned thus far from the tech world.
My undergraduate degree is from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (Concentration in Finance, Bachelors of Science in Economics). I also have a Masters in Information Mgmt Systems from Harvard’s Extension School (analytical engineering-focused). I finished this degree part-time while working full-time for Econometric Advisors, an economic consulting and research division of CBRE (the international commercial real estate brokerage).
Lastly, I took a short break in late 2022 to pursue a long-term goal to complete a Software Engineering bootcamp with Flatiron School. Very much enjoyed re-learning to develop full-stack applications (now with React, Ruby, Rails, Python, JavaScript). Following this learning experience, I returned to consulting and building Patch.
What to Expect Here:
I'll likely keep it light and simple here, since the web has many other places to share more relevant info.
With this in mind, you can also find my profile on LinkedIn.
